The Secret of the Lady

A man once came to stumble into the deep
and saw a palace made of glass and shells
inside a desert of shipwrecks in an ocean.
The gates to the castle was a hearthshape
with six locks, for a thief guards the key
that none may steal from the treasury
and none can come in without permission
from the guard whose eyes all-see

Then he knocked, but was then refused entry.
But a raven told him what was inside it
for it had floated through an open window.
"There are many rooms and all treasures.
Reliquaries and piles of gold and diamonds
and the floor of the castle is tortoise shell
and its columns are made of amber and silver."
Then the raven asked "why did you come?"

He answered: "I am looking for my beloved
rather to reach out for the starry heavens
than sit on a lonesome throne to rule for laws
for she gave me a hearth of shifting colours
from the bases of red to the blue into yellow
a colour compass radiant for in the center
was it a pink gradient to find the way home.
for the purple is to be lost in passing saw.

And the raven sighed and gave him the keys
"You are thus welcome when you return"
for a thief guards the gates and without hearth
is the castle for a barren wasteland built;
and only for the dreamers is it still standing
as it reflects into the seas with its strings
and such began the tale of the Most Beloved,
for a quest is not reward - but an answer,
for all tales are thus started out of necessity.

For his journey into the wilderness knew
the real graal was of clay - but for pain choose
which is the truth - for a love which was lost
for fourteenth; the teacher on the journey.
"One day to this place I shall return with her"
for the Hearth it glowed to remember.
Then he was given a chain of copper with owls
for the old dance, in Babylon, Babylon
Ah, for Minervas song which there was writ.

Then in a shop he noticed a bone in a string
and understood for a curse, an evil eye
which only the kings knife could pierce out,
But first to weaken it in the source of wells
Then in the white church where Brunhilde
and Odin sang for love and then despair,
would it then be broken for ancient spell -
Then he travelled further for a wolf bone
the no-eyed; into the blue it evaporized.

The next place was purple for in its radiance
from secret messages; to nameless places
to hidden rituals for sight, in time and space
for the nuances he travelled road and beach
Then found a wishbone into stone turned
and saw the mountains - into honey flowed.
At last the white hearth which is divided
for bridges are built across the gaping wound -
Then to travel through and see in beyond:

There in an astral room was an empty montre
where once had been the Tzarinas bracelet
none knew whom or where it had been taken to
for between war and revolutions was it gone
then for the divided eye made guide to a woman
whom put it in a drawer for an inheritance.
The twelve star mountains and three shields
which rise every morning and sets for dawn.
"There is my Most Beloved - I found you at last"
