As it is - : with all things beneath the sky
but not below the oceans - :
of burning Qurans which into embers turned
was only poured water over it
while they enflamed - went up in flames
into vapour did it turn
in the mystics hands as for Sufism
"it is only paper, my beloved"
As it is - : Upon a wretched demons face
was by touch turned beauty :
As above the heavens was our oceans
below the earth icy spears
with vengeance fury bent and twisted
was it straightened out
as with a poets wrists was turned
"It is only words, my beloved"
As it is - : Daymons once more stand
before the thrones in praise
of the Most High as the Most Low is too
for all livings things only is :
As swords which stroke, lashed out
were they then reshaped
as the Deserts stroke inside a bottle :
"It is only water, my beloved"
As it is - : I am an infidel to religion
but more have I known
of the divine than any blind believer
"I would rather know you"
did I walk with Shaitan instead,
to know her was my life
of all possibilities we talked, learned :
"It is only as that, my beloved"
